About iACT

International Action and Cooperation Team (iACT) established in September 2000, is a non-governmental organization (NGO) comprising of a group of enthusiastic young professionals from various fields in Taiwan, including doctors, nurses, public health specialists, lawyers, social workers, sociologists, and anthropologists. iACT is dedicated to maintain the health of all people, especially those suffering from social injustice.
iACT had been officially registered as an association on December 8, 2001. iACT's mission is to assist those underprivileged in health matters through the provision of professional, holistic, and sustainable services and through the coordination of social resources, to create a proper channel for those who wish to dedicate themselves in the field of medical humanitarian assistance, to advocate for and pursue the basic human rights of all mankind in order to attain a just and fair society.


1. To combine social resource and assist disadvantaged groups through medical treatment and a variety of professional services;
2. To provide professional environment and system to those volunteers who are interested in joining international medical service;
3. To maintain human rights, and put the practice of social equity and justice into action.

International participation

iACT has been performing long-term health service to disadvantaged groups through actual field research in Taiwan, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and other places since iACT’s establishment in 2000.
